SentieriVCO is the new application that allows you to discover all the paths of the Verbano Cusio Ossola Valleys, from the simplest walks to excursions for true experts. Seven itineraries, with a hundred paths, all classified by duration, difficulty, maximum and minimum altitude difference, with interactive and PDF maps to download. The paths chosen are part of the Integrated Promotion Plan PSR 2007/2013, financed by the European Community.

The beta version of SentieriVCO was designed for tourists in the Verbano Cusio Ossola area, in order to provide information on the excursions that can be done in the provincial territory. The application provides a simple but practical tool that allows you to filter routes based on your needs, view trail maps and obtain useful information on them, and facilitate on-site orientation during excursions.

The same web portal trailsdelverbanocusioossola.it, of which the app is an integral part, allows you to identify and plan excursions in advance, divided by valley and mode of use (on foot, by bike, on horseback). Furthermore, in order to improve the overall view of the territory and the trail network, an interactive cartographic map will also be available in the future.

The app currently aims to enhance seven hiking itineraries for a total of around a hundred trails. For each of the routes a map is already available in PDF format, for download and offline use. For the routes included in the itinerary "Between Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta" it is also already possible to view the trail layouts and your position in real time online, thanks to the GPS system of your smartphone. This functionality will also be implemented for the other paths, as soon as all the gpx files are available to the Province.

In the next expected releases, the contents will be enriched with new tracks, maps and information.

With the hope of having responded, at least in part, to the criticisms raised in the first user comments, it is understood that any suggestions are always welcome and subject to attention, for the purposes of possible improvements of the application.
